Sky is thankful for all the people who have contributed to his success.  His mom made sure he grew up in a caring, Christian environment, his dad was a great wrestler and football player in his youth, and together they instilled in him his competiveness and work ethic.  He also thanks Bob Hickman for sharing with him his “big-guy” wrestling skills, Rob Edelblute, his high school wrestling coach, for always getting him physically and mentally ready to wrestle, Terry Kiefer, head high school football coach, for teaching him “good ole hard-nosed, smash-mouth” football, coaches Lee Libera and Mike Bayley (and Terry) for making sure they were the fastest and strongest kids out on the field come Friday night, Mike Bayley and Curt Carr for introducing him to UNT coach Eric Russell, and last but not least, his wife, Susan, for supporting him in all of his endeavors and for giving birth to their 10-month baby girl, Lyla.

Sky, Susan and Lyla currently live in Garwood, Idaho.  Sky has a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and works for North Idaho Physical Therapy and Northwest Specialty Hospital.  In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, cycling, triathlons, archery, skiing, and spending time with his family in North Idaho.
