Sarah Hansen Nave - Class of 2015
Sarah Hansen Nave, Class of 2002, was born to Chris and Cindy Hansen of Bayview, Idaho. She has 1 sister, Staci, who she competed against in high school and was a graduate of Timberlake High School in 2004.
Sarah attended Lakeland High School from 1999-2002 and participated in volleyball, basketball and track throughout high school. After graduating from Lakeland, Sarah went on to North Idaho College where she started and played volleyball for 1 year before transferring to the University of Idaho to focus on school and complete her degree in Foods and Nutrition with an emphasis in Dietetics.
Her athletic achievements at Lakeland include 4-year letterman in track, 4-year letterman in basketball and 3-year letterman in volleyball, 2001 North Idaho Female Athlete of the Year, 2001 All-Intermountain League Co-MVP for Volleyball, 2001 All-North Idaho for Volleyball, 2-time All-Intermountain League Team for Volleyball, 2-time All Intermountain League Team for Basketball and 6-time Intermountain League Champion in numerous track events, State Runner-Up in 100m high hurdles in 2002 and medaled 8 additional times at the state track meet (triple jump, 100m high hurdles high jump, medley relay), 2000 and 2001 Lakeland Team Volleyball Killer Award (181 & 232 kills), played and started on 2 state championship basketball teams (2001 and 2002), member of the 2002 state championship track team and member of the North Idaho Female Basketball Team of the Year in 2002. After college, Sarah spent a year coaching 8th grade volleyball and U-18 club volleyball.
In 2008 Sarah married her high school sweetheart, Eric Nave, and they now live in Rathdrum with their two beautiful children, Katie (5) and Levi (4). Sarah is a Registered Dietitian with Kootenai Health, where she focuses on Oncology and Neonatal Nutrition.
In her free time, Sarah spends time with her family enjoying the outdoors on the numerous lakes and rivers in the area boating, camping, hiking and fishing.
