"NINE MILE FALLS, Wash. — Trailing by just six points at halftime, the visiting Hawks were outscored by 12 in the third quarter in the nonleague loss to the Eagles.
Josiah Haaland had 18 points and 14 rebounds for Lakeland (2-3). Jalen Skalskiy added 13 points.
“We struggled in the third quarter,” Lakeland assistant coach Tyrel Derrick said.
Lakeside, meanwhile, hit 14 of 24 3-pointers. Tristan Cox was 5 of 10 from beyond the arc and led all scorers with 22 points. Javon Williams was 6 for 6 from deep and added 18 points.
Lakeland plays host to Bonners Ferry on Tuesday.
